Staying ahead of emerging trends is crucial for industry professionals, and the recent Flexo Frontier 2025 seminar series offered an in-depth exploration of the evolving print and packaging landscape.

Held in Johannesburg, Cape Town, and Durban from 12–14 February, the event attracted a dynamic mix of industry leaders, brand owners, and technology experts eager to gain valuable insights into the future of flexographic printing.

The opening session featured an immersive video demonstration, showcasing cutting-edge flexographic printing processes. Attendees gained a firsthand look at advancements in plate registration, make-readies, press controls and reel changes, with footage highlighting a new ROTOCON CHROME press at Java Print (full story here) in Johannesburg. The demo also underscored the collaborative efforts of industry leaders, with Fujifilm inks, PSL substrates from Morgancoat, BOPP film from SRF, designs by Find Creative Agency, and repro and plates from Polyflex Premedia contributing to the project.
