WineLand Media, in collaboration with ROTOCON, recently honoured 30 movers and shakers in the South African wine industry at Brookdale Estate in Paarl. The 30 young professionals were celebrated during a special luncheon on Friday, 14 June.
WineLand Media annually dedicates its June issue to acknowledge promising young talent within the South African wine industry. Attendees had the chance to network with their peers and notable industry figures during the luncheon.
“From visionary winemakers pushing the boundaries of tradition and forward-thinking viticulturists nurturing the land to dynamic sommeliers crafting unforgettable experiences and savvy marketers capturing the attention of audiences, our 30 under 30 issue showcases the extraordinary contributions of these rising stars,” says WineLand editor, Wanda Augustyn. “By embracing new ideas, technologies, and techniques to elevate South African wine onto the global stage, they embody our future. Young people making a difference is entirely possible – and needed.”
The event also marked a significant milestone with the introduction of the Luminary Award. “This prestigious accolade is bestowed upon one exceptional individual whose influence and achievements transcend excellence, setting a new benchmark and inspiring others within our community,” Wanda says. “It symbolises their unwavering dedication and the bright example they set for future generations. It is with great honour that we announce the inaugural recipient of this award, Tinashe Musora. His story is a testament to the power of hard work, humility, and faith, and shows what can be achieved with dedication and the right support.”
As a steadfast ally of the 30 Under 30 event, ROTOCON is dedicated to fostering the growth and inspiration of the next generation of leaders. “ROTOCON is proud to be the head sponsor of the 30 Under 30 event for the fourth consecutive year,” CEO Michael Aengenvoort says. “ROTOCON has a vested interest in the development of the leaders of tomorrow. The nominees represent the cornerstone of our corporate social responsibility. May they continue to elevate South African wine on the global stage.”
