Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled, driven Service Technician to join our team specialising in digital and flexographic printing equipment.

As a Service Technician, you will play a key role in ROTOCON’s technical service operations—installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting high-performance label printing equipment. This hands-on role with an engineering mindset involves regular travel and close collaboration with customers and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of digital and flexo printing machines

• Troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and operational breakdowns

• Providing on-site and remote technical support

• Training customers and operators on machine operation and best practices

• Performing routine maintenance to ensure optimal performance

• Diagnosing issues and implement solutions with minimal downtime

• Delivering after-sales service that reflects our legacy of trust and long-term thinking

• Working closely with our sales, engineering, and operations teams

Qualifications and Skills

• Proven experience with digital and flexo printing machines

• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills

• Solid understanding of print processes and machine operation

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills

• Hands-on, solution-driven mindset

• Professional and customer-focused approach

• High attention to detail and quality

• Technical qualification (NQF Level 4–6) in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience

• Valid driver’s license

• Willingness to travel locally and internationally on a regular basis

• Valid passport and ability to travel at short notice
