Frequently asked Questions

ROTOCON’s flexographic printing presses offer web widths of 350 mm, 450 mm, 530 mm, and up to 660 mm. Speeds reach up to 200 m/min depending on the model. Each print unit is powered by a multi-servo drive system for precise control of the impression and anilox rollers, using premium Baumüller or Yaskawa systems. The repeat range spans from 254 to 635 mm. ROTOCON’s hybrid and digital solutions (e.g. RDF series) offer semi-rotary and full-rotary finishing with inline embellishment, achieving speeds up to 80 m/min and precision levels of ±0.15 mm.

ROTOCON’s flexographic presses are engineered for long-run, multi-colour applications, delivering high production speeds and low per-unit costs. With capabilities reaching up to 200 m/min and advanced servo-driven architecture, these presses ensure precise registration, consistent print quality, and reliable high-throughput performance.

Specialised configurations are available to support complex label production, including delam/relam units and cross-over systems for multilayer label applications. These options provide the flexibility to handle sophisticated constructions while maintaining the accuracy required for consistent, high-quality output.

Designed with productivity in mind, ROTOCON presses integrate automation solutions and value-adding modules that can be seamlessly activated at the touch of a button. This enhances operational efficiency, reduces setup time and waste, and enables converters to respond quickly to evolving market demands.

Installation is managed as a turnkey project by ROTOCON’s technical team. Requirements typically include standard industrial floor space, stable power supply, compressed air, and web-path alignment. Most installations are completed within a few days to two weeks, depending on system complexity. Setup includes machine commissioning, operator training, and performance testing.

ROTOCON machines integrate advanced automation such as:

•Multi-servo drive system per print unit (precise control of the impression and anilox rollers)

•Web guiding and tension control systems

•Smart job memory and automated register settings

•Inline inspection

•Non-stop rewinders and automatic splicing

•Modular embellishment units for hot/cold foil, screen, embossing, lamination, and UV/IR curing

These automation features reduce waste, speed up job changeovers, and improve overall process reliability.
